Welcome on Board
Social landlord Coastline Housing has recruited Sue Coulson and Fiona Perrin to its Board.
The new Non-Executive Directors join the Redruth-based housing charity with a wealth of business expertise across a variety of sectors.
Sue joins the Coastline Board bringing an extensive range of experience gained from Executive Director positions within the housing sector including DCH and Orbit Group, as well as working with the National Housing Federation as a management consultant. She has previously been a Board member with the Aster Group and is currently Director of Partnerships at Rentplus.
Sue says: “Housing is more than bricks and mortar - it’s about people and creating vibrant, sustainable communities. I am delighted to be joining Coastline at such an exciting time both for the sector and the company as we deliver our ambitious Corporate Plan, making a difference for our customers, staff and the people of Cornwall.”
Fiona is an experienced Board Director, with specific expertise in sales and marketing and a track record of leading businesses to achieve ambitious aspirations. Most recently, she was Group Sales and Marketing Director of HSS Hire PLC for ten years.
Fiona comments: “I am thrilled to be joining the Coastline Board as we face the challenge of the national housing crisis and our unique problems in Cornwall. I was lucky enough to grow up in social housing in Cornwall but we need good, affordable homes, now more than ever.”
Together, the duo join the Board at a busy time for Coastline as the charity focuses on continuing to bring more much needed affordable housing to the county. Coastline Housing has secured over £30m of grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency and over £5 million from Cornwall Council to develop more than 1,000 new homes in Cornwall over the period from 2015 to 2021.
Derek Law MBE, Chairman of the Coastline Group, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Sue and Fiona onto the Coastline Board. They both bring new and needed skills, knowledge and experience to Coastline and will put their talents to positive effect as they assist us to drive our challenging agenda forward towards significantly more quality homes and sustainable local communities.”
