Housing charity offers pre-tenancy course
Coastline Housing has teamed up with Cornwall College to offer a course that teaches people how to maintain a tenancy.
TRIGVA (which means 'home/abode' in Cornish) is a Pre-Tenancy Management Course that Coastline will be delivering in partnership with Cornwall College.
There is an enrolment day on Tuesday 9th April from 11.30am to 2.30pm at Coastline House for anyone who is interested. The course begins the week commencing the 29th April, running for 5 consecutive days at Coastline House.
It aims to provide people with the skills/knowledge to maintain a tenancy effectively.
- Understanding how to apply for housing
- Planning a new move
- Preparing to be a good tenant and neighbour
- Understand how to look after a new home
- Understanding financial products and services
The course is open to Coastline customers and non-customers who are 19 + and in receipt of benefits.
It can also help current customers who might be struggling to maintain their tenancy and is also beneficial for those who have never held a tenancy before or who have had a turbulent accommodation history.
The course is structured so that learners will gain information specifically around Coastline tenancies and part of the course involves signing people up to Homehunt (if not already registered).
